"I've always appreciated the Nikon ecosystem for its ease of use, intuitive controls, and outstanding image quality."

Göran's relationship with Nikon stretches back to the late 1990s, with his first digital DSLR — the Nikon D70 — purchased in 2004 and put to immediate use for astrophotography. From there, he progressed through the D200 and D3s before a pivotal moment in 2015, when Nikon released the D810A, a camera purpose-built for astrophotography and one that marked the beginning of a formal collaboration with the brand. In 2019, he transitioned to the Nikon Z mount system and later adopted the Z9 as his primary body. Today, his kit spans the Z9, Z6 III, and an astro-modified Z6 II, supported by a carefully chosen lens lineup built for both wide nightscape work and detailed long-focal-length imaging. For Milky Way and aurora photography, he reaches for the Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S; for filming auroras, the Z 35mm f/1.2 S has become a favourite. When the Moon rises against a compelling foreground or a distant galaxy demands detail, the Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S delivers the reach and clarity his subjects require. Throughout his career, Göran has valued the Nikon ecosystem for its intuitive controls, ease of use, and the consistent image quality that allows him to stay focused on the sky rather than the settings.
