For Norris, photography is not simply a craft but a way of making sense of the world and the people moving through it. His philosophy is rooted in authenticity: the belief that genuine passion creates a connection with subjects and environments that translates directly into emotionally resonant images. This approach was shaped, in part, by years of leading photo workshops across Iceland, where the landscape itself became a testing ground for both creativity and equipment. It was during those workshop days that Norris first observed what Nikon cameras were capable of in extreme conditions. While other systems succumbed to the relentless Icelandic weather, the photographers shooting with Nikon kept going. That observation stayed with him. Today, his kit spans the Nikon Z8, Z7 II, Z6 III, Z7, and D850, paired with the 14-24mm f/2.8, 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, and 100-400mm f/4.5-6.3, a setup he knows as an extension of his own hands.
